As reported by Alexandria Bournonville of My UP Now – WBUP/WJMN, the Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action Agency (CLMCAA) is notably among the first grant recipients of the state’s new Good Food for Michigan Project: a program focused on funding locally grown food options.
CLMCAA will receive over $16,000 through the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) program. Agency leadership plans to use the new funds to increase the amount of Michigan-grown and produced foods served at their senior nutrition sites and in their Meals on Wheels program.
