As reported by Nicole Heslip of Brownfield Ag News, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says the ValleyHUB Food Hub at Kalamazoo Valley Community College serves as a model for the newly announced Good Food for Michigan Project.

Director Tim Boring tells Brownfield the initiative aims to increase access to local food for schools, hospitals, and other institutions.

“It’s breaking down these barriers so we just make this system work better.”
